Examination of the Differences in Licensed Athletes’ Personal Beliefs in Relation to Some Socio-demographic Characteristics

Objective: This study was carried out to examine the personality beliefs of licensed athletes according sports branch, type sport and gender. In addition, it is aimed make some contributions literature since in have not been studied before. Methods: conducted by using survey model. The group consisted 154 aged 15 over. A Personal Information Form Personality Belief Scale Short were used collect data study. SPSS 22.0 package program analysis data. Results Suggestions: When examined branch variable, no significant difference found sub-dimensions schizoid, paranoid antisocial beliefs. Narcissistic, histrionic, borderline scores vary significantly. variables doing team or individual sports, between these two groups all belief sub-dimensions. gender only obsessive/compulsive subscale significantly depending on favour male athletes.
